One of our valued customers is Goss Moor National Nature Reserve, Natural England.
The team is based on a farm at the edge of Goss Moor. They have 83 cattle and 30 ponies who graze the moor to control the scrub and new growth for conservation. And we mustn’t forget Jack, the bull (pictured below) who also does his bit for conservation by growing the herd of Belted Galloways!
Natural England’s team is dedicated to managing and conserving the moor, and they are focused on recycling the waste they produce on the farm. The solution to managing this waste isn’t as simple as it sounds, as the farm isn’t easy to access. That was a challenge that other waste companies weren’t able to solve. But we were pleased to help!

Ashley Mather, Natural England Reserves Manager on Goss Moor, said: “The biggest challenge was getting someone down the farm lane. We chose CWS as they were happy to come up with flexible waste collections to handle our recycling and waste from the farm. A lot of other waste collection companies would not drive down our lane.”
CWS now enables the farm to recycle as much as possible from their office waste, and we continue to work with the team to find solutions to collect more agricultural and fly-tipping waste.
