New Fleet Vehicle

Another new vehicle added to the fleet, an investment to offer more services to our customer base. The VW Crafter, 3.5 tonne GVW will help us complete jobs for you such as; general waste, WEEE and pallet collections.

Also any fly tipping and general light haulage. It also includes a tail lift if required.  Feel free to enquire about any jobs you may have.

Brewery awards £1M waste

It is with great pride that we can announce that Cornwall Waste Solutions have won the prestigious tender for servicing the waste and recycling requirements for St Austell Brewery.

The contract for 3 years will commence early in 2017, services include general waste, food, glass, dry mixed recycling and liquid waste services with Cornwall, Devon and Avon.

St Austell Brewery Waste Contract

The three-year deal will see CWS managing the brewery’s entire waste output from its St Austell head office, key distribution hubs in St Columb, Heathfield, Ilfracombe and Avonmouth, as well as its managed houses across the region.

St Austell BreweryHaving put the original contract out to tender, the brewery selected CWS as a locally-owned and run business, whose directors Shane Beadle, Paul Tregunna and office manager Rebecca Game – together boasting over 60 years’ experience in the waste industry – shared the brewery’s commitment to working toward 0% waste to landfill and fully sustainable operations.

Commenting on the new contract, brewery CEO, James Staughton, said: “As a Cornish company we are always keen to work with and support local businesses but sometimes the sheer scale of our operations can present logistical challenges that are hard to meet.

“However, when we saw what CWS had to offer and how that would work over such a wide area, there really was no question about signing the deal.”

“Local businesses supporting each other, looking after the environment and creating sustainable futures has to be the best way forward from any point of view. We’re looking forward to making this contract work for everybody involved.”

Beccy Joins the Team

We are extremely delighted to confirm that Beccy Game has commenced employment as the company office manager and will be responsible for all administration duties, Beccy has considerable experience in administration and the Cornish waste industry, with over 25 years working in the sector previously.
Beccy will be working closely with all our clients to ensure that the various individual administration requirements are managed to meet client expectation and further support the objective of building long term relationships with our clients.
